About Mr. Rick A. Sarmiento

Rick A. Sarmiento has advised presidents, governors, heads of state, Fortune 500 executives, ambassadors, senior policymakers, and leading entrepreneurs on strategies driving multi-billion-dollar ventures in trade, infrastructure, and technology across the United States and internationally.

He is the Founder & Managing Partner of SIGLO Global Strategic Partners LLC, Co-Chairman of SIGLO Ventures LLC, and serves as Global Strategy Advisor of MCB Ventures and Global Advisor to the CEO of Tran International.

He began as an entrepreneur, founding and building companies including SIGLO. What started as a boutique strategic consulting firm has since grown under his leadership into a global platform that connects capital, markets, and partnerships across the Americas, Asia, and Europe.

At SIGLO, Mr. Sarmiento leads strategic consulting, joint ventures, and direct access to premier sourcing resources, helping partners move first, scale faster, and secure lasting market advantage. Current initiatives span AI and healthcare platforms, large-scale data centers and digital infrastructure, supply chain and logistics, real estate development and construction materials, power and energy systems, agriculture and food security, and global commodities such as ICUMSA-45 sugar and seed oils.

He also distinguished himself in public service as the youngest State Secretary and Cabinet Officer in California history under Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, where he managed gubernatorial appointments and advanced initiatives in international trade, immigration, and healthcare policy that influenced both business and international relations. As Chairman & CEO of the Latino Business Association (LBA), he launched the first Global Digital Latino Business Summit and collaborated with Hollywood icon Mel Gibson on the international promotion of Apocalypto.

Mr. Sarmiento has worked with leaders across California, Florida, Washington, D.C., Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the European Union, shaping projects and transactions exceeding $5 billion in trade, commodities, and infrastructure investments worldwide. His portfolio also includes involvement in the Ellinikon redevelopment in Athens, Greece, one of Europe’s largest urban transformation projects, valued at over $9 billion and developed in partnership with LAMDA Development, GEK TERNA, and Hard Rock International.

He is a graduate of Pepperdine University’s Presidential Key Executive MBA Program, where he was the youngest entrepreneur ever accepted and graduated, later becoming the youngest Adjunct Faculty Member in the Graziadio School of Business. He has also served on numerous boards in technology, healthcare, education, and international trade.

Renowned for his ability to bridge East–West partnerships and guide cross-border ventures at scale, Mr. Sarmiento is recognized as a trusted advisor and strategist to leaders behind some of the most ambitious global initiatives of the last two decades.
